two days and counting...

So as the trip approaches the realization of it all is beginning to sink in... I'm not sure if nervousness or excitement is winning out at the moment. Today I finally finished all my errands and shopping and can fully concentrate on tying up loose ends and PACKING!! this is my project for tomorrow... making all this fit in two bags under 50lbs each. Should be an exciting day!

so.... I leave Tuesday from my house at about 9:00 with my parents and fly out of Oakland where I'll be meeting up with my friend/roommate-to-be Sofia and flying to LA at 1:00pm. I'll get into Los Angeles and do the whole switching to the international terminal, meet up with the group flight, then jet off on my european adventure! Keep me in your thoughts and prayers and hope that I don't have an unexpected stop in Iceland like my last european adventure!!! thoughit did make an interesting story afterwards... hah!

I'll write again once I am in Firenze and find internet!!!

Meet Luke!!

ok, so i know this is not italy related, but he's too cute to not post on here!

Our family just adopted a new member! His name is Luke and he is just over a year old! He was abandoned by his other family in san marcos and now he is all ours!!!

Two Weeks Till Departure

So for anyone looking at this blog, you must know I will be out of the country studying abroad in Florence Italy for Fall 2009 and then spending the winter holidays in Germany! I am going to try out this whole blogging thing to keep everyone up to date with pictures etc... since that seems to be the thing to do these days. Feel free to pass this link along to other family and friends who may be interested in my whereabouts!

I am new to this whole blogging concept so bear with me the first few weeks as I figure it all out...!
